Early in 2006, I left UK Corporate IT world after 23 years as I felt I had spent long enough in one company/one industry and so wanted to explore other things I was interested in doing. I took some time out that year to be with my Husband and Son as I hadn’t spent a lot of time with them in previous years, and then started to consider what my career options were.
By the time I left corporate world, and after having worked my way up, I was responsible for what was then a $38 million business, selling remanufactured computers. In my time at that company I worked in Admin, Sales Admin, Marketing and lastly Field Sales for 7 years which included Business Management for the last 4 years, all of which were customer-facing roles. All my business training was done in a variety of roles over a number of years supplemented by various courses throughout that time.

Fast forward to where I am today – I had a lightbulb moment towards the end of last year, when I realised that coupled with what I had learnt in Corporate IT world as well as the online marketing knowledge and experience I have now accumulated and used on my own websites, I could offer this service out to local businesses in my area. I want to do this in order to help them improve their returns on their marketing which in turn would increase their profits, all done using an asset most companies already have – whether they realise it or not.
As an E-Commerce Business Consultant, I can look at your business with you to better understand what you want from your business, how and what marketing is done and then make suggestions about the improvements that can easily be implemented. This is a tailored approach as one size doesn’t fit all, even in the same market segment. This will in turn increase turnover and profits, potentially reduce overall marketing costs and bring back regular customers as well as gaining new ones.
